The fire, which started just after 3 p.m., is before Northside Drive and Howell Mill Road. A couple lanes reopened around 4:15 p.m.

Footage from the First Alert Chopper shows the charred bus on the median of the highway.

Video circulating on social media shows that it is an Xpress bus, a commuter coach service run by the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority.

GDOT said the lanes are expected to clear by 5 p.m.
