ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The 12th annual Juneteenth Atlanta Parade and Music Festival is happening this weekend.
The event will run June 21-23 at Piedmont Park. It features live music and performances, vendors, great food, a 5K Freedom Run, pageants, a parade, a car show, and an array of cultural activities for all ages.
The Juneteenth Atlanta Black History Parade steps off at noon on Saturday near The King Center on Auburn Ave NE. The public is invited to line the streets up and down Boulevard to watch the parade pass by, then follow it to Piedmont Park and join the festival already taking place in the park.
Drivers should expect delays in the area.
