ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A 16-year-old was fatally shot at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex late Wednesday afternoon, according to the victim’s family.
Around 4:30 p.m., Atlanta police said they responded to a person shot at 1634 Hollywood Road NW, the address for the Reserve at Hollywood complex.
Officers reportedly found “a male who sustained apparent gunshot wounds.” The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died.
The victim’s family told Atlanta News First the victim was 16 years old.
Police have not identified the victim or named suspects. The investigation is in the early stages and details are limited.
A man was fatally shot at the same complex last month. In September, one person died and another was injured in a shooting on the property.
