ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - I-285 North in DeKalb County has reopened after an accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle shut down some lanes early Thursday morning.
DeKalb police said a man was struck by a vehicle on I-285 North near SR 8/Lawrenceville Highway (Exit 37) around 4:30 a.m.
They said it appeared the man had been standing in the roadway for unknown reasons when he was hit. The condition of the man is unknown at this time.
Police said the driver stayed on the scene.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said two of four right lanes of I-285 North at the exit had been blocked due to the incident.
