The Tucker City Council showed a vote of confidence to a mixed-use development proposed for 2059 Northlake Parkway.
The council recently voted to extend a Special Land Use Permit to Resia for the proposed development, Rough Draft Atlanta reports. Construction has not yet begun, according to the news outlet.
Resia envisions turning an office building known as Tucker Exchange into a residential community with 129 units, as well as an additional 280 apartments across three new buildings at the complex. Office and retail space are also in mind for the site near Northlake Mall.
The project was initially approved in 2022. The design was tweaked and the amount of units was reduced after concerns about the development’s density.
Resia, which formerly went by the name AHS Residential, is a Miami-based real estate developer with properties in Georgia, Florida and Texas.
Speaker 1 (00:00):… be an American where at least I know I’m free.
Although the state of Georgia is a great destination for beach vacations from May to August, the fall season also has much to offer visitors.
About two hours north of Atlanta sits Helen, a mountain hamlet of alpine-themed architecture and German-influenced cuisine that’s just weird enough to be more charming than corny.
We’re not going to sugar coat things, Georgians.
“Together, we will take our momentum and energy to the ballot box and set the tone for the entire country — especially first-time voters — to vote early,” said Beth Lynk, the group’s executive director.
One of my favorite things about Atlanta is that even though it's a big city, it remains a collection of neighborhoods.
