ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The American Cancer Society is hosting its annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Saturday morning at Atlantic Station.
Registration starts at 7 a.m., and the walk will begin at 9 a.m. Participants can either join the walk, make a donation or get screened, representatives say.
The organization aims to raise nearly $750,000 to fund innovative breast cancer research, provide medication and guidance to help reduce risk and offer patient support.
“It’s a day of celebration and remembrance, where participants can expect to find connection, comfort, resources, inspiration, and hope,” said Lisa Obser, American Cancer Society senior development manager.
