ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A northwest Atlanta community is concerned about crime after a teen was killed earlier this month.
Maurice Weems, 16, was shot at the Reserve at Hollywood apartments and later died at the hospital. The search for the suspects continues.
“That’s just heartbreaking,” said one resident, who didn’t want to be identified for safety reasons. “I was shocked because that’s just an unfortunate situation, you know. I was just shocked he was 16. At first I didn’t know that he was 16. He was young.”
Residents in the neighborhood told Atlanta News First they are worried about crime and want those responsible in this most recent incident to be caught.

Residents said they are hoping for the same.
