DECATUR, Ga. — A 22-year-old Atlanta man will now spend the rest of his life in prison after he was convicted for shooting and killing a man outside a rooming house in 2022, according to the DeKalb County district attorney.
Sincere Rush was convicted of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and gun possession charges in June.
On Wednesday, DeKalb County Judge Tangela Barrie sentenced Rush to life plus five years suspended.
The deadly incident happened on Nov. 28, 2022, when police found Marcus Bradford, 51, shot on the ground in the carport of a home on Clifton Road, according to the DA's office.
Bradford's girlfriend told officers she and Bradford were sitting in the car eating when Rush confronted them about being loud. Bradford got out of the vehicle to explain to Rush that they weren't being noisy, and Rush shot him, the DA's office said.
