Atlanta’s first Toastique lands in Midtown, bringing an assortment of gourmet toasts like the avocado smash, one with hummus, and the PB crunch.

With a new co-owner and a new head chef, The Pub At EAV takes over the former Elder Tree space in East Atlanta Village. The once-Irish-leaning menu now offers British pub favorites like fish and chips and Sunday roast.

Pastas, steak, and seafood make up the menu at this new restaurant inside the Forth Hotel in Old Fourth Ward.

Any old, old ATLiens, who still remember when Red Lobster once sat on Campbellton Road, will rejoice in the return of another shrimp and sirloin meal to this southside neighborhood. The new establishment takes over the 6,000-square-foot Deja Vu Sports Bar and Lounge space.
Motorboat opened in the space formerly occupied by 8Arm with a menu focused on sandwiches and cocktails. Keep your eyes on our sandwich guide in case this new spot makes the list.
This well-known Austin taco chain opened its first Atlanta location in West Midtown. The menu says they serve "damn good tacos," so we'll be checking in soon to confirm if they earn a spot on our taco guide.
Big Oomp, from Atlanta’s legendary Big Oomp Records, opened his first restaurant, BSOK (Big Oomp Studio Kitchen) in SWATs. The smashburger-focused restaurant pays homage to the city, with decor celebrating the Atlanta-based record label and menu names like the AUC Burger, the Grady Baby, and Dirty Bird Wings.
August
The popular South African chicken restaurant opened its first Georgia location in Dunwoody. Our chicken game is already strong (especially the fried variety), but we'll gladly add more spots to our roster. And we can't wait to try out all of Nando's sauces.
Pom Court sits inside of the new Hotel Granada in Midtown. The menu fuses Southern and Spanish cuisines together for breakfast and dinner. Atlanta's great hotel restaurants don't play, so we'll see if Pom Court will be a worthy addition to the roster.
This new taproom in Chamblee has 26 taps with a focus on stocking a diverse lineup of craft beers and hard-to-find brews. This fall they'll add a few food stalls inside, including a new coffee spot.
Forth Hotel in O4W already impressed us with its Mediterranean restaurant Elektra. So we're intrigued by this rooftop bar on the 16th floor of the hotel.
Going full steam ahead on its rebrand, the Uptown community (formerly Lindbergh) sees another restaurant opening. This time, it's a new Korean BBQ and steakhouse restaurant from the team behind Miss Gogi. Expect Korean pancakes, a selection of proteins, and bulgogi cheese fries.
This Doraville BBQ joint is owned by Usher's mom, Jonnetta Patton, and has a menu stuffed with favorites like smoked turkey legs, ribs, and brisket. We already love our BBQ, but an unexpected dinner with Usher—even if he's a few tables down—also sweetens the deal.
July
Flora D'Italia is the newest stall in Chattahoochee Food Works. Their menu is stuffed with wood-fired pizzas and handmade pastas. This particular space in the food hall has seen two other Italian spots before Flora, so we're hoping the third-time-is-the-charm thing works out.
This new speakeasy in Midtown is from the team behind El Valle. Expect mezcal-heavy cocktails and light bites that are seafood-focused.
Formerly a pop-up, Gene's now has its very own brick-and-mortar in East Lake. Serving up smoked meats and Southern favorites like deviled eggs and pimento cheese, we can't wait to see if this new spot will make it on our best barbecue guide.
Elektra, just off the Beltline on the fourth floor of the Forth Hotel, is a new Mediterranean restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. We're looking forward to eating lamb kofta and harissa honey chicken while overlooking the chill pool scene.
This bright yellow shipping container stands out among the tall buildings and parking lots surrounding it. Just beyond the Beltline in O4W across from the new Forth Hotel, this tiny cantina offers tacos and quesadillas using smoked meats from Das BBQ.
We're fans of the original spot on Howell Mill, so we're happy that Cultivate is taking their halal, vegan-friendly, and gluten-free breakfast options to more parts of the city. This new location adds another daily brunch option to The Battery.
This venue on the Westside comes from the team behind Northern China Eatery. And since we included them on our best dumplings guide, we're expecting the new restaurant to continue that dumpling excellence.
This new coffee shop and wine bar takes over the space formerly occupied by Buzz Coffee and Winehouse off Cascade. With events like hosted movie nights and live music, Cafe Bartique seems to be keeping up the same community energy as Buzz, so we're prepared to like it.
The team behind Birria El Gordo is opening a new location in Uptown. For those still unfamiliar with the trendy neighborhood term, it's the area near the Lindbergh MARTA station. Expect tacos and cocktails to be on the menu.
After a successful run in Sandy Springs, Sabaraba's opened a second location in Chamblee. They're known for their Mediterranean street food with a menu that focuses on pitas and wraps.

May
A sister concept from the team behind Toast On Lenox, this cafe in Buckhead serves light bites like sandwiches, salads, and smoothies. We've checked out Toast Noir, and we like it.
This West Midtown restaurant is serving up a menu of Mediterranean dishes and plenty of hookah options (it's 21+ all day). Plus, it's from the team behind Pasha Restaurant and Bar in Buckhead.
A new food hall (yes, another one) in East Atlanta offers more than ten food stalls, a full bar, and an upscale atmosphere, making it one of the nicest food halls in the city. Food vendors offer a wide range from cheesesteaks to ramen.

Ssamjang is a new Korean BBQ spot inside Cumberland Mall offering AYCE lunch and late-night menus. And we're already sure it's an upgrade from the old Jason's Deli salad bar that used to be here.
This new Smyrna speakeasy inside Zucca Bar Pizza oozes the '70s. Propaganda has disco balls, mystery cocktails, and vinyls—bell bottoms optional.
A new food stall in Southern Feedstore brings Brazilian pizza to East Atlanta Village. With heavy toppings like tuna and boiled eggs we get why Brasiliana labels these as "knife and fork" pies.
The team behind Ladybird Grove and Mess Hall and Ranger Station has a new bar near in the Lee + White food hall. A neon alligator points the way to tropical cocktails just off the Beltline. And it's fun, so Strangers In Paradise was added to our Best Bar guide.
The brother and sister duo behind Sovereign Sweets in Buckhead tapped rapper Quavo to help with V12. Sitting above the new Tim Horton's in Midtown, the 7,500 square foot restaurant and sports bar offers menu items like lamb chops, crab cakes, and wings.
Stir House brings a vegan lunch option to downtown's Broad Street. Stir fry boxes allow the mixing and matching of noodles, rice and a variety of vegetables with proteins like tofu and faux shrimp. And the prices aren't bad for the giant portions you get.
April
Taking over the former Zesto space in Little Five Points, this pizzeria adds another plant-based option in the neighborhood. And since Ammazza closed, we're looking forward to seeing if Pizza Verdura Sincera will become our new favorite for vegan, wood-fired pies.
The team behind The Painted Pin and The Painted Duck are betting on the growing popularity of pickleball with their newest concept, The Painted Pickle. The eatertainment complex has eight indoor courts, an outdoor court, a full bar, and a menu stocked with shareables.
Sinful Sliderz, a mini burger stall, is the newest addition to East Atlanta Village's food hall, Southern Feedstore. We're most excited for their special weekend menu that features oxtail sliders and loaded fries.
