State Farm continued its partnership with the Community Assistance Center (CAC) by participating in the Sandy Springs Connects! Career Expo last week at city hall.

The CAC Career Center organized the expo to showcase its support of local talent and employment opportunities. This is one of a series of initiatives by State Farm to support the CAC during the corporation’s Good Neighbor Month in September.

State Farm will participate in seven volunteer opportunities for its employees through CAC, according to a press release. Those opportunities include serving at CAC’s primary food pantry as part of a broader focus on tackling food insecurity, an issue affecting many families in the area.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with State Farm, a company that truly understands the importance of community support,” Francis K. Horton III, CEO of the CAC, said in the release. “Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors, and I am confident that this collaboration will continue to empower and uplift those we serve.”

CAC will participate in a State Farm panel discussion on food insecurity, providing insights and strategies to combat the issue. The nonprofit also will participate in an internal State Farm nonprofit showcase on Sept. 16, to further develop connections with State Farm employees.

One of State Farm’s departments will host a food collection drive for CAC in October.
