Fulton County: Afterschool activities canceled Thursday. Closed Friday.

Chamblee: All city facilities closed Thursday and Friday.
Cobb County: All county courts and offices closed until Monday, and all county facilities will close after noon Thursday and all day Friday.
Fayetteville: All government offices closed Thursday.
Fulton County: Courthouse closed Thursday.
Forest Park: All non-essential city offices closed Thursday.
Gwinnett County: Courts, senior centers and parks all closed Thursday and Friday. Tax commissioner’s office will close at 3 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday. Commuter bus routes have been altered for Thursday afternoon.
Healthcare
Grady: Clinics and neighborhood health centers will be closed Thursday and Friday, and all elective and non-urgent procedures scheduled for Friday will be rescheduled. Grady Memorial Hospital will remain open and operational regardless of weather conditions.
Emory: Clinics, specialty associate clinics and ambulatory surgery centers will be closed Friday, and patients will be notified if their appointments are canceled. All Emory hospitals and businesses offices will operate as usual.
Events
AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival andamp; 5K Run was canceled Saturday with plans to reschedule.
Fernbank Museum is closed during the daytime hours Friday, but will reopen for Fernbank…but Later from 6-9 p.m. tonight. The museum will be open regular hours on Saturday.
Athens-based band Cracker has postponed its Thursday and Friday shows at Woodstock’s MadLife Stage andamp; Studios until March 13-14, when tickets for the original shows will be honored.
Khruangbin’s show at the Fox Theatre scheduled for Thursday has been canceled. Ticket purchasers will be refunded within 7-10 business days. Friday’s show will still occur.
The North Georgia State Fair plans to reopen the fairgrounds at 4 p.m. Friday and will operate normally throughout the weekend while monitoring weather conditions.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden closed Thursday with plans to reopen at noon Friday.
The Atlanta Braves’ Remaining game against the New York Mets scheduled for Thursday postponed to Monday starting at 1:10 p.m.
The Atlanta Opera performance of “Rent” at Pullman Yards on Thursday has been rescheduled. Ticket holders will be contacted via email with more details.
The Center for Puppetry Arts will be closed Friday.
The Coca-Cola Museum closed at 4 p.m. Thursday and plans to reopen at noon Friday.
The College Football Hall of Fame museum will be closed Friday.
The Georgia Aquarium will be closed Friday and guests with tickets for Friday can use them any other day.
The Disney On Ice presents Let’s Dance performance scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Gas South Arena has been rescheduled to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. Tickets for the original date will be honored.
The Free Your Mind author event — with Ta-Nehisi Coates, Nikole Hannah-Jones and others — scheduled for Thursday evening at Morehouse College’s MLK Chapel has been canceled.
The Emory Chamber Music Society’s “Bach’s Lunch: The Enchanted Harp” performance at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, scheduled for noon Friday, has been canceled.
The launch of Emory’s Ethics at the Movies series, originally planned for Thursday, has been moved to Oct. 2 at the Candler School of Theology, Room 252.
The High Museum of Art will be closed Friday.
Thursday night’s Party in the Kitchen benefit for Open Hand Atlanta has been canceled and will not be rescheduled “due to the challenging nature of coordinating chef schedules along with vendor and venue schedules,” the organization’s website says. A silent auction will continue through 9 p.m. Sunday.
Zoo Atlanta closed at 1 p.m. Thursday and plans to open at noon Friday.
