MACON, Ga. — A week after a Vice Presidential candidate made his Macon campaign debut, the other one will do the same.
On Friday, it was announced in a press release that Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance will travel Macon for the first time and speak at an event on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The release said that Vance will specifically speak on the economy and inflation. He'll speak at the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center on Coliseum Drive South. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and Vance will begin speaking around 1 p.m. Those interested can find tickets here.
Vance's visit will come nearly a week after Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz made his first trip to Macon. Similar to Walz, Vance will also visit a few other locations around the same time.
Vance will visit Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday and and Traverse City, Michigan on Wednesday. His trip to Macon will, as of right now, complete his campaign plans that week.
This will be his fourth trip to Georgia since he was selected by former president Donald Trump. He recently travelled to Atlanta on Sept. 16.
