The Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel to Atlanta, Georgia to play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Irish fans who travel to the city might be looking for a few things to do on Friday, before the game and even after the contest.

To that end, there are some football-related options that could get you hyped for the game if you’re in Atlanta this week. There are also some non-football activities to do, check out some of the best option in the greater-Atlanta area that could be very enjoyable.

College Football Hall of Fame visit

The College Football Hall of Fame, which once was in South Bend and is now located in Atlanta, is advertising an AI-powered experience which uses a vistor’s likeness so that they picture themselves as a head coach or college-football player.

It’s called GAME ON! and its interactivity could go a long way towards getting you fired up for the game.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium tour

If you want to check out Mercedes-Benz stadium before the game, you can set up a tour. It may be worth you while to know your surroundings before the action begins.

Coca-Cola headquarters tour

With Atlanta the home of one of the world’s most famous soft drinks, you can easily tour the World of Coca-Cola. Just don’t drive the syrup straight, you might have a sugar-high for a while.

1996 Olympics site tour

If you want to see sports history that doesn’t involve football, you can tour the sites of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, which were held in Atlanta. Many of the structures are still in use, like Centennial Olympic Stadium which has been used by the Atlanta Braves and now as Georgia State’s football home.

Take a walk in Piedmont Park

If you need a little peace and quiet before getting rowdy as the Irish take on the Yellow Jackets, Piedmont Park will give you a nice respite with scenic views of the city. They’ve been around since 1989, so you can help celebrate 35-years of Atlanta’s most visited public park.
