Come out for the East Atlanta Strut! This iconic and oh-so-quirky street festival is back for just one day — and it’s happening on September 28, 2024.
This is a porchfest-style party that’s spread out across the whole neighborhood — about 16 square miles.
There will be four designated activity hubs, and you can ride between them on scooters, golf carts, or the Carnival Train — or walk or bike (bicycles will be available to rent!)
Admission is FREE — but if you want to stroll with an open container, you’ll need a $5 wristband that proves you’re old enough to drink legally. You will NOT be able to carry alcohol with you unless you have a wristband — available for purchase on site.
The day kicks off at noon with the famous Strut Parade.
After that, you can browse the street market, where you’ll find over local vendors selling their wares; listen to music by local artists; and enjoy snacks from food trucks or the local East Atlanta restaurants.
The Strut Kids Zone is at Brownwood Park. There’s a bounce house, games, face-painting, cupcake decorating, kids karaoke and more next to the new playground.
According to the event’s Facebook page, you can also have an immersive experience, listen to porchfest-style concerts, and more.
This is a rain-or-shine event. No pets, please!

Parking details
Remember, this is East Atlanta — where parking is limited. Please plan to use a park-and-ride lot, located at Eastside Church, Temple of Faith Church, and First Iconium Church. Then look for the shuttle stop and hop on a bus!

Although the state of Georgia is a great destination for beach vacations from May to August, the fall season also has much to offer visitors.
About two hours north of Atlanta sits Helen, a mountain hamlet of alpine-themed architecture and German-influenced cuisine that’s just weird enough to be more charming than corny.
We’re not going to sugar coat things, Georgians.
“Together, we will take our momentum and energy to the ballot box and set the tone for the entire country — especially first-time voters — to vote early,” said Beth Lynk, the group’s executive director.
One of my favorite things about Atlanta is that even though it's a big city, it remains a collection of neighborhoods.
