October is National Adopt a Dog Month, and across Atlanta organizations are raising awareness about pet adoption and finding loving homes for dogs in need.

Atlantic Station will host Adoptoberfest on Oct. 6, a fun-filled event that connects potential pet parents with local rescue dogs. The Atlanta Humane Society will host its Foster Feature Adoption Event on Oct. 26 with adult dogs and puppies from foster homes from all over the Atlanta area.

Whether you’re ready to adopt or want to support by attending festivities around these and other events, it’s a great time to celebrate and encourage dog adoptions.
