There’s news buzzing about a certain Queen Bee.

The 33rd Annual AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival and 5K Run, presented by AHF Pharmacy and Wells Fargo, is back and ready to take over ATL on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Originally postponed due to Hurricane Helene, it is now set to pop off with style and flair and will be the weekend affair with none other than Lil’ Kim.

Lil Kim is headlining the festival at the city’s Piedmont Park, but that’s not all—BOSSIP’s very own Lauryn Bass will be on the ground covering all the action, giving you the exclusive scoop straight from the heart of the event!

Whether it’s the powerful performances, the inspiring cause, or the energy of the crowd, stay tuned for our highlights post-event!

The AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival and 5K Run is known for raising more than $1 million annually, benefiting 13 Atlanta-based HIV/AIDS service organizations, including AID Atlanta, Georgia Equality, and the Trans Women of Color Healing Project. This year’s event is a crucial part of continuing that legacy, especially with the Queen Bee herself taking the stage.

Lil’ Kim isn’t new to this—she’s true to this! The iconic rapper has a history of partnering with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), having previously headlined their Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival in 2021. Now, she’s bringing that same fire to ATL for a cause that’s close to her heart.

In a press release, Dr. Felicia Ivey, AHF’s Georgia regional director, expressed her excitement.

“While Hurricane Helene postponed our original plans, we are excited to be able to hold the AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival and 5k Run about two weeks from now. We cherish this annual opportunity to bring together thousands of individuals from across the region to raise critical funds for 13 worthy organizations and raise awareness of the impact of HIV and AIDS on our local community.”
