ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Vice President Kamala Harris is preparing for another visit to Atlanta.
Harris will be in town Tuesday for rapper Quavo’s inaugural Rocket Foundation Summit on preventing gun violence and keeping communities safe. The summit is taking place Tuesday on what would have been fellow rapper Takeoff’s 30th birthday. Quavo and Takeoff were a part of the music trio “The Migos” before Takeoff was shot and killed in 2022 at the age of 28.
The vice president will also deliver remarks at a political event in celebration of Juneteenth.
The vice president landed in Atlanta shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
